Lady blazer in stretch-crepe checks

I have bought a pair of matching pants several months ago and was very happy with them for their great quality and fit. And I have found this jacket just last week and purchased it without trying it on. I had to debate whether I should get it because this was on the final sale. I looked at the featured pictures and thought I should size up mostly because of the fit on the shoulders. I typically buy size 2 in Jcrew jackets but went for the size 4 and it works nicely - except for the sleeves, as they are a bit long. I am 5' 5", 107 pounds, and 34 B. I thought I'd wear it with a knit top if it runs large, but it fits and looks really nice. Now I have a perfect pants suit to wear from autumn to spring!!

I bought this blazer with the matching pants. It's a lot of pattern, I tell you, but it works well. The blazer would be great with a neutral skirt or pants as well. I normally wear a 2 in blazers and sometimes a 0. I was worried that the style of this blazer would be too overwhelming (double breasted jackets are not my natural friends). Anyway, the 2 fits TTS but I think a 0 would have worked. I am 5'6" and I do not find the blazer overwhelming...not too long or too wide like some double breasted blazers. The pants are TTS as well, but a little on the small side.

Quality blazer from Jcrew - only disappointment, no inside pocket to stash your phone. This does have a slim fit - so I did size up to make sure it would button properly. I am 5'6" 140 LBS and 36C - got the size 8.
