Terrible quality and poor fit
August 6, 2021I understood that this would be a sheer fabric but the quality of the fabric, cut, and sewing is terrible. It feels like it could rip very easily at a seam and some of the seams are already pulling open. The sleeves are also extremely long and the bodice is cut super far inward so you can’t really wear a bra or even a swimsuit without looking silly. Really disappointed in my last few purchases from jcrew and going to take my business elsewhere.

July 30, 2021At Jcrew I’m always size 8/Medium. I’m 5’5”, 136lb., 36C, 28”. However, I got this dress in size Small and it’s still a bit loose on me. Armhole is really big and the cut is deep on front/top. I’ve sewn on a hook-and-eye about half an inch above the top button in the front. The material is a beautiful 100% Indian cotton, so light, airy and bit see through. There’s no lining. For a garden wedding in August (dress code “dressy casual”), I’m going to wear it with a beige slip dress underneath with a gladiator sandals, and after that, I plan to wear it as a swim coverup with flip flops. If you can get the right size, this is a beautiful dress!
