Button-up sweetheart dress in stretch twill

Great dress, but a little too tight. Cannot wear a bra under it and needs a little cardigan or jacket to make it less revealing.

The dress is well made and looks like it would lovingly hug curves, unfortunately with my top hourglass shape this design is saggy in the waist and acts as a breast corset.

So, I will wear this dress and be comfortable in it. The pros are that it fits and skims my figure without being too tight or pulling, esp around my mom belly and bigger thighs. That is a big deal to me and hard to get right. Down side is that even though the size 8 fits, it's as if the 'cups' are one size fits all. The cups didn't contain my chest, they just kind of hovered over them. Luckily, the fabric is thick and I don't need a bra, so my chest is just kind of there in it's natural shape (I'm a 34 D). If you are larger chested and want a bustier-style that will lift, this isn't it.

I wasn't sure what size to get, but thank you to the other reviewers who helped me decide. I am 5'4", 130lbs, and 34A. I went with a size 2 and it fits fine. I will say though, the contouring of the neckline doesn't play nicely for those of us with disproportionately small chests... I would imagine the opposite might be true too (for those with larger busts). So that tailored effect can be tricky. Also, I normally assume that anything shown on the models will be much longer on me in real life, but this dress actually looks like the model length on me. That might make it too short for taller folks.

I’m 138lbs at 5’3” 36C & 28in waist. I toggle between a size 4 and 6 depending on the style/cut. I ordered a size 6 on a final sale to be safe and it fits my chest perfectly and waist comfortably, about an inch or two to spare. The slight A-line shape hides my thick thighs. The material is nice quality twill with minimal stretch but allows movement everywhere. The only functioning button is the last button on the bottom which is great - no gaping at the chest or stomach! (It zips in the back.) The cups fit my C cups (no bra needed!) but it may be a problem with larger breasts. The straps are adjustable so it fits my height just right (2in above my knee). The pockets are deep and holds my phone nicely. Transition easily into fall by layering on a cropped or oversized cardigan. Can easily dress up due to color and quality; or dress down due to the simple style! Love it! (I just hope it washes well!). If in between sizes, I would size up unless you like the tight body-con look.

I ordered this in my normal size 8 and was very surprised when the fit was not at all like how the photos look. I have a large bust and the fit of the top of this dress made me look like I was a 12 year old boy. The only way I could see someone pulling this off is as a Minions costume for Halloween.
