Collection ruffle-hem slip dress in oversized gingham

I wanted the black and ivory but got the pink opal color when it was available. I got a size 8 and it fit perfectly and I had a little room. I would normally buy a 10-12 in a dress so it probably is oversized. I normally wear a 10-12 in J.Crew shirts and bottoms and a 29-31 in denim. I normally get a medium in everything else. I have a small/medium bust, thin waist, and curvy bottom, 5’4”. This dress was so beautiful. It fell perfectly, I put on a wedge heel, 75mm, with it and I could see the tips of my shoes, it will need to be ironed/steamed, the hem was not just laying it has just the right amount of volume, the straps are thin, wish it had pockets, and I hope it becomes available again in black and ivory. I used my rewards to basically get it for a price that I could not pass up. If you get the opportunity again this is a gorgeous dress.

I wasn't sure this dress was for me because I'm not really a ruffle person and it reminded me a bit of a nightgown. I was wrong!! The previous review plus a deep discount sale price convinced me to purchase despite dress being final sale. I'm 128lbs 5'6" 34b usually wear 4 in sheath/body conscious ,2 in slip dresses/gwyneth . 2 was the right size in this. Wore it to a NYC rooftop bar post graduation celebration for my daughter. I felt amazing and hip in my swishy long dress surrounded by beautiful young 20 somethings!

This has a cupro weight and feel to it that fits similarly on me as the cupro slip dresses I collect here. It falls just beautifully (from previous reviews I was concerned it might float “out” because fabric might be too lightweight but nope…it just falls in a delicious and swishy way…so glad I snapped up both colors!!
