Perfect Swim Cover up!
June 16, 2023I took a chance on this dress while it was on sale. I don't think I would've purchased at full price, since I plan to use as a swim cover-up. The dress is definitely sheer, the black less sheer. I plan to use it on an upcoming cruise. I am 5'3", 245lbs, pear shaped and wear XXL in JCrew. I'm a solid 18 on top and 20 on bottom. I bought the pink and black in XL and the fit was good. It was still a little big in the back, but I don't mind it. The length hit me above the ankles. The dress is unlined and it does not have pockets. The fabric is light and airy. Although not my intent, I am keeping both colors. This dress unique, romantic, and SO COMFORTABLE!

October 9, 2022I needed a light breezy dress I could wear at home during the hottest days of summer. I was taken by the pretty ruffle and the square neckline, and took a chance on the sheerness reported in the reviews. It's definitely sheer. But I love it! It keeps me cool and comfy at home, it makes for a very lovely house dress. And it will be a beautiful beach dress over my bathing suit. I bought this in white, and I even wear it on zoom calls, since the camera doesn't go too low anyway :) I'm 5'11" and 165 lbs, and I think I got the medium. It falls a few inches below my knees, perfect. It probably runs a bit large, but the drape of the dress is roomy so go for the best bodice fit. Love it!

Cover-Up
July 1, 2022This is what I want to wear to the beach or pool: a long cover-up that shows the suit and some of the shape underneath. Please bring back! Missing the black color. Next year would love j crew to make more and raise the back cut-out to a full top to block some of the sun’s rays.

I ADORE this piece!
June 17, 2022Love it so much I bought a few. I wear it with a slip, and AS a slip. If you can sew even a little bit this can be altered into something to be worn under dresses, it is so hard to find quality all cotton (woven, not knit) slips anymore and this is perfect for that purpose (I remove the shoulder ruffles and change the neckline to more of a 'V' If you are not tall you will have to adjust the length also). Worn as a dress, with a cotton slip under it obviously because it is very sheer, it is classic, cool and elegant, and the ruffles are so pretty and feminine. Highly recommend.
