Halter maxi dress in soft gauze

I bought the White in Medium on super sale, would not have purchased full price. A few thoughts. The strap style is front is a nice touch. But the straps show both crossed and straight in the back on the models. Depends on whether you cross the straps in the front, which if you look closely you can see on the model. That was a surprise. The body of the dress is voluminous, especially with the nubby gauze texture. If there were some tailoring at the bodice, the volume could work better. But the smocking at the top makes my B cups look, shall we say, unfettered, giving it a bit of a sloppy vibe. Also, the smocking at the neckline is too casual for my taste along with the nubby gauze, and it should have pockets. I do like the length on me, just a few inches above the ankle, and the white is lined in cotton voile to the knee. But it could be better overall. The model video is helpful.

Love this dress, so glad to see the review with a belt! Agreed, that’s all it takes to turn this into perfection! I’m 5’2 101lbs and took XXS my normal dress size, I wouldn’t size down automatically bc the underarm elastic could create excess bulge if you do, if you are between sizes then it does make sense to size down though! But it’s going to be a very voluminous dress no matter what size. A belt is all it takes to prevent it from looking like a tent/ maternity wear, but it is still has that large flowy look if you wanted that option. Gorgeous dress, incredibly soft cotton gauze and fully lined cotton lining and not see through. So glad I got! Love the halter look, and straps are completely adjustable!
