Lace dress in floral-print viscose twill

This dress is flattering, feminine and comfortable. I was between sizes (00 and 0), and though I'm rarely a 00, went with that size for a perfect fit in the bodice. Glad I did.

To get the very smooth fit like the model, you will need to go up two sizes. I wish I had a JCrew store nearby to try things on first. I am typically a 4 but ordered a 6 based on the reviews. It was fine in the bust (I am 34A so plenty of room there, but the V neck is narrow enough so there's no gaping). However, it was too snug in the rib cage and midsection. It technically fit but was not flattering to my tummy pooch at all. The dress itself is SOO cute. Definitely farmhouse style in the floral print, as another reviewer observed. Fabric is a nice weight that gives good drape to the skirt. Note that while not very see-through, I could see the print on my undies when I tried it on. I really want this dress to work, but I suspect that if I wear it I will feel extremely self conscious about how it highlights my stomach, and that's kind of counter to the purpose of wearing a pretty dress. Not sure whether I will keep or donate. I'm sad to have to contemplate giving it away because it wasn't a good enough price to really be final sale.

I loved this dress in my usual size but I sized up to get more room in the bust area as I am C cup and it just fit better in a size 8. The fabric is a heavier one so it falls and flows very nicely. I would wear this in hot weather, it’s not that heavy. The length is flattering as I am in the petite height range. I opted for the regular fit rather than petite as that is all my store had and it fit nicely. The brown is lovely but I felt it was more of a statement dress — casual, romantic and more of a going out dress. The floral pattern would work better for my needs and was a little less “sexy” but still beautiful and very feminine as a farmhouse style dress. Both dresses are great for women desiring colors with cooler tone. Love this dress and the more relaxed fit one size up.

It does run extremely small (about 2 sizes), but it is out of this world gorgeous and extremely flattering. I get tons of compliments on it every time I wear to work.

Beautiful dress, well-made, can be dressed up or down. I also like the fact that it has some shoulder coverage, a good variation from my several other J Crew spaghetti strap dresses.
