Cute basic
February 10, 2026I'm 5'2", size 2/4 in J.Crew dresses. I really like this dress. I think there's room for improvement, but overall, it's cute. I sized up to a 6, and it fits PERFECTLY. It is on the shorter side; however, I think the skirt's volume makes it feel shorter. I weighted it down by sewing some washers inside the skirt lining. The sides poof out a bit because of the slit pockets, so it looks like I have a little love handle lol, but it's not too bad. I would love this in more colors (pink, mustard, maybe a print) in a thicker material like a ponte, tweed, or twill.

Tiny!!
January 8, 2026Beautiful dress but it is tiny! Three sizes too small! I’m currently in between sizes so I ordered up and it was still too small that I would have to size up twice again.

Beautiful, but major engineering flaw
December 22, 2025This dress is so lovely in theory, however there is a small button closure right at the waist where the skirt meets the top, and literally every time you move or breathe, it completely unbuttons leaving your stomach exposed! I had to hold my bag in front of my waist all evening. Not sure why this wasn't made to be just a normal button to properly stay buttoned, so off to the tailor if I want to wear it again.

Love this dress-runs exceptionally small-size up!
December 21, 2025I’m 5’6”, 125#, 34B, usually size 4 in J.Crew. Bought this dress in size 6, top too snug. Returned & exchanged for a size 10 & it fits perfectly! Sizing aside, this dress is the best! I can’t wait to wear it to my company cocktail party!
