Perfect LBD for work
September 24, 2021I had to review this dress strait away because I love it! It's the perfect black dress for work. I feel like I'm sometimes in between sizes when it comes to J.crew dresses. I ordered this in a size 0 as I read that it ran slightly large for some people. It fits perfect, form fitting without being to tight and the perfect length for me. For reference I'm 5'9 130 lb and I ordered a size 0. I paired it in the picture below with these super cute earrings from j.crew and a tan faux leather belt from h&m.

Beautiful dress, but runs large
June 11, 2021I ordered this dress in my normal size 6 but will have to return it as it definitely runs large. I’m bummed that it isn’t available in a 4: The material feels wonderful, the cut is flattering and its style is timeless. I’d purchased it for a memorial service, but it would be fabulous for work or dressed up for date night.

Gets the job done, but misses on quality
September 17, 2020I ordered this in size 2 in both black and navy and had to return both. True to size and reaches just below the knee on my 5'6" "pear" frame. I'm usually between a 2/4 in JCrew and the 2 fit well. The dress works in a pinch, but it's not worth the full price because of the below average quality and material. Pros: This dress looks sharp from afar. The silhouette is clean and the length is right. It's a versatile sheath that can take you from desk to drinks, dinner, a cocktail party, the museum, etc. Cons: The quality and fabric/material leave much to be desired and this is a biggie. It's a bit stiff, looks sort of cheap, and not the most comfortable. Biggest of all, the stitching is off. One dress arrived with loose seams; the other had stitching that was off at the seams, so the lining "puffed" out and was visible over the shell, the most visible of which was over the collar.
