Perfect Plaid Frock
December 9, 2018This is THE dress! Self-professed plaid addict, I think I may own every plaid thing J. Crew ever put out and now I've added this to my stash. I wore it to a formal party where every other woman wore a gown. This dress stood out enough where people were asking if I'd made it. Impeccably tailored, the 6 Tall fit my 5'5", 140 lbs, frame superbly and came to right below my knees. The wool fabric is heavier than I expected and, along with the Lurex, this would be a problem if it weren't for the excellently placed lining. Seven hours on, nothing itched or tugged and I felt comfortable and beautiful. Despite having spent quite a bit of time sitting, there wasn't a single wrinkle to be seen. Thank you, J. Crew, for well tailored plaid frock that will be worn to two more parties by weekend's end. So happy with this purchase.. plaid on! Along with the ribbon-wrapped earrings, this is a party-ready outfit that won't leave you cold or underdressed in a sea of (ubiquitous) black.
