Customers love the classic nautical look, sturdy cotton fabric, and gold shoulder buttons, and several said it works as an easy everyday dress that can also be dressed up or packed for travel. Fit feedback was mixed: some said it runs true to size, while others suggested sizing down if they want a more fitted silhouette. The dress seems to hit at a nice knee length for many customers and feels like a solid wardrobe staple. Overall, it comes across as a simple, polished piece with a timeless vibe.

Nautical flair
October 10, 2021I prefer a slightly fitted look in a dress like this so that my shape is discernible, so I exchanged my usual medium for a small. I didn't want to look schlumpy, which is what was happening in the medium. I'm 5'5", 150 lbs., 34DDD. The dress hits right at the knee, which is ideal for me. A substantial cotton, but not too thick. The navy stripes are very dark--you might mistake them for black at first. Love the classic, Francophile, nautical look. Pair with a neck scarf and a glass of rosé, and you can pretend you're vacationing along the Riviera, even though you're only sitting on your living room couch watching "House Hunters International." Hey, a girl can dream.

Love this dress,.
July 20, 2021Really nice dress, but running large. I am 5'6'', usually size 2/4. I ordered small this time, but litter large to me. It was on sale, so I am going to keep it.

Solid Basic
June 29, 2021A solid basic dress for warmer weather. Travels well, doesn't wrinkle. One thing to note on the size and fit is that I don't feel like it fits like a traditional shift dress - more like an A-Line. True to J. Crew size, I took an XS (usually a 26-27, 2-4).
