Side-cutout organic cotton dress in Liberty^® Meadow Song fabric

I love Liberty and this pattern is one of my favourites, but the cut of the dress ruins it. The shoulders are odd and the way the top attaches to the skirt is uncomfortable. What’s up with the zipper? It definitely runs small on top and large on the bottom. Fortunately I am pretty good with a sewing machine and will be taking it apart and redesigning it into something I can wear - since the fabric is that beautiful.

I’m glad I gave this dress a chance. I went with a size 8 instead of my usual 6 in dresses from J Crew. It fits perfect on me. I was mostly concerned about the cutouts, but they are not revealing at all. It is fully lined, light and airy, and has pockets. I’m in love with it. I’m 5’5, 138, 36c, 28 waist in jeans and S in JCrew tops. Hope this helps.

I consistently fit the same size in jcrew and this was way too small which creates a perfect storm where everything you wouldn't want bulging out was. I had some reservations about the cut and my worst fears were confirmed. And worst of all it's final sale. Who would this look good on? I guess if you're 13, incredibly slim, tall and size up it might work. I would never share pictures of it.
