Cinched-waist puff-sleeve dress in scattered blooms

I purchased the Cinched-Waist Puff-Sleeve Dress in Scattered Blooms, and I have gotten a lot of wear out of it. I prefer to style it with a jean jacket. It is comfortable, it fits true to size, and the fabric is high in quality.

I’m 5’2” 36D and 165 lbs and I got my usual large but it runs big. The medium would have been perfect but alas final sale! I’ll have to get it taken in esp around the chest. I’d recommend sizing down one for sure.

Wanted to love this dress because the length is just right and the fabric is beautiful but the double elastic at the waist makes it a very awkward fit. It puffs out between the two elastic bands making it look like you have extra flab around the belly, very unflatteringly. The second lower elastic also hits very low for petites. The one upper elastic would have been fine but unfortunately, it's a no go. Hope to see more inclusive styles for all different body shapes.
