Classic-fit flannel shirt in Good Tidings plaid

If I could, I would wear this shirt ALL THE TIME. It is so comfortable and fits me perfectly. I wish it came in more patterns. The flannel is soft and thick (but not too thick), the fit is flattering and not boxy, and the red plaid is cheerful. I would love it in solid colors, I'd buy them all!

Like the other reviews mentioned, most of the buttons crumbled and broke the first time I washed this shirt. So I can only recommend this item if you are planning to remove or replace all the buttons anyway. Other than that, the style and cut is cute, and an improvement from last year's flannel shirts. JCrew fixed the problem with the extremely hi-cut side slits on last year's version, by adding in a triangle of fabric where the front and back seams meet, which means the shirt will keep your torso covered, even when raising your arms. The fabric itself is thick and warm, but coarse and prone to pilling, unlike the softer smoother flannel from last year. The color is just as bright and festive as the pic shows. Unfortunately the broken buttons are a deal-killer for me, and now I am stuck with a useless shirt, unless I want to pay a tailor to replace all the buttons.

As other reviewers mentioned before I’d recommend to go size up. The color is nice, but after 2-3 washes 3 buttons have crumbled like cookies and I only have one to replace it. Now, when my size is not available for replacement and I cut all extra visits because of having baby at home, I can’t wear it or replace the buttons by myself (because if it is back to stock I wouldn’t be able to exchange it, but there is no guarantee at all, it’s the end of the season). I was a loyal customer of this brand for years, but now simply stuck with a bad quality item and was told by the customer support rep, that if you choose to keep the item, fix it by yourself (to continue to wear it, not just put it into trash) and not go to a tailor to keep your baby safe, well, that loyalty costs 25% of your full refund…That was even bigger disappointment than the problem itself. Other than that, this shirt is fine.

Great winter shirt with black or denim jeans, black leggings, black sweater skirt, and boots. I’m 122lbs, 5’5”, xs/2. I pretty much always get a size two in tops even when the top is slim for; for this classic fit, a size 2 fit loose but not big.
