way way large!
August 31, 2021I say no I wouldn't recommend it because they will be too big if you go by Crews recommended size. I bought a size up in jeans because I like them baggy and I always shrink them. I bought these (also 98% cotton) and they are so so large that I will have to give them away. I'm so sad about this. They cannot even be altered. Last time I buy online. Some 32s in jeans are good cuz they shrink to about a baggy 30-31. These will never shrink that much.

Very beachy-preppy!
August 19, 2021I wasn’t sure what to expect with these chinos as it’s not clear on the image online how wide the stripes are or what the contrast is between the blue and the white. Well the blue is not a pale blue, but more of light blue, yet bright-ish, color. The stripes are very obvious. Don’t get these if that will be an issue, these aren’t subtle stripes. I love them! I’ve worn them with a fitted, white t-shirt French tucked with a white braided skinny belt, and JCrew’s Vans knockoff slip-one in white; I’ve also worn them with a crisp, white poplin top with the sleeves rolled up to right below the elbows, and white, flat sandals. I usually wear either a 26 or 27 in JCrew chinos, but I took the chance that these run a bit large like their other chinos, and I’m glad I did.

Spring favorite!
April 21, 2021I wore these pants yesterday for the first time and I received many compliments. Super stylish, light fabric, easy to pair up or dress up/down, perfect mid rise and straight leg. Fits TTS. Love it! I got the plain vanilla color as well and love this style, thanks JC!

Kind of frumpy
April 15, 2021I bought these in a 29, and they were tight around the waist. This is my eternal struggle with pants as someone who carries their weight in the stomach. A 30 would have fit my waist but been too baggy in the thighs and legs. As it was, the thighs were a tiny bit too big. If you are slim waisted but have thighs and a butt, these would probably fit cuter on you. On me, the overall effect was kind of frumpy. The stripes are smooth stripes, not seersucker. I didn't love the look overall, but that was probably affected by the fit. overall quality of the pants seemed fine. For reference, I'm 5'8' and 175, and vary between a 29 and a 30 in Jcrew pants.
