Open V-neck top in midnight dutch floral

Classy, feminine floral top that dresses up a simple look quickly!

I was so excited to order this top, but when I got it I was so disappointed. The pattern is beautiful but the fabric is such heavy polyester and it doesn’t breathe AT ALL. I tried it on and had to take it off immediately so I wouldn’t sweat in it. It’s also quite boxy and short. Not worth the price tag. I have initiated a return and J. Crew appears to be trying to charge me $30 for the return. I buy a lot of my clothes from J. Crew and I’m quite frustrated.

This top is true to size on me and the colors are fantastic. It will be such a great fall piece with a variety of bottoms. Can't wait to style it different ways.

I get SO many compliments every time I wear it! For work with slacks, dress up dark wash jeans, or wear with pretty shorts for brunch. Can not understate how pretty this is in person. Love this blouse!

I love this print: the large florals keep it contemporary and universally flattering to all age groups; the bold colors are classic, not frumpy or dowdy. It can be worn to the office or out to brunch, depending on how you style it. I think this fits better than the plain white cotton poplin tunic in the same cut from earlier this summer- the banded, buttonless cuffs don't look cheap on this one the way they did with the cotton poplin version, which also ran tight across the chest, and pulled in weird ways. I had no such issues here. HOWEVER I'm docking the quality a point because I think that this blouse would have been better had it been made of silk or a cotton-silk blend rather than polyester. If you wear a cami underneath, it gets static-y and clingy as a result. It could also be a inch longer at the hem, since it's a bit boxy. Bottom line: it's gorgeous print, and I'm glad J Crew is making stuff like this again- colorful prints that are classic and contemporary all at once.
