Stiffer than it looks
March 28, 2026I bought it because I love the style of the (now discontinued) Madewell Painter Shirt but the etienne does not have the same airy and slightly tunic-like silhouette. Plus, the fabric is stiffer. I got this shirt at a huge discount, though, so not a huge loss.

Best button up shirt
January 9, 2026I love these Etienne shirts for work. The cotton poplin is nice and breathable, can layer this top with a tee shirt underneath or a sweater on top during the colder months. It's also great to layer over dresses. I love the oversize style as well, but if you want it to fit more true to size, definitely size down one.

nice structure
January 2, 2026I have been looking for a good cut, good material and reasonable price oversized shirt and this one is perfect! The material is not thin so it holds good structure. Perfect for spring and fall or layer in the winter.

January 2, 2026I bought this on final sale in XS, should have stayed with usual S size because of my long arms. This is a great shirt, almost a work shirt weight. By no means is this lightweight. I live in the hill country of Texas. This is a tough shirt I love but not light weight.
