Classic-fit washed cotton poplin shirt in pinstripe

I typically order my J.Crew shirts in tall size, when available. This item does not offer tall sizes, but the product description says this shirt is 28 inches in length, which is similar to the length of tall sizes. So, I ordered my usual size (8). Upon trying on the shirt, the sleeves ran short and the overall length appeared short as well. When I measured from the highest point on my shoulder straight down to the hem, it was only 26 inches. Other than that, I like the shirt. The color and fabric are nice and it appears to be well-made. If you are not worried about the length, I’d say go for it. But if you are looking for those extra couple inches in length, you might want to skip it.

I purchased this shirt to wear to work in the warmer months. The fabric was super lightweight, but I didn’t think much of it initially. This looked nice and was comfortable. After three weeks of wear, and washing at home in my washer/dryer with my other clothes, the last time I laundered it, it came out looking like it had lost a fight with a cat. It had rips and tears all over the body and arms of the shirt. Not a single other item in my laundry, in that load and subsequent loads, had any tears of damage which indicates to me that the issue is the quality of the shirt. I also inspected the inside of my washer and dryer drums and found no problems. I’m very frustrated because I’m now outside of the 30 day return window and am stuck with a shredded shirt that I paid a lot of money for. Save your money and purchase your button down shirts elsewhere.

This is a basic button down. The fit is great, a bit loose but not sloppy. Perfect staple. For reference, I’m 5’4, 145, 34DDD and I purchased a medium.

Love the small stripe with the lighter blue. It's not baby blue, so that's a plus. Just a good classic fit and will go with a lot of different things. Purchased my usual size 6 in the classic fit.
