Relaxed-fit washed cotton poplin shirt in stripe

The arms are too short. The shoulders are too tight. Size up if you still want to give it a try.

I found this shirt runs true to size but the arms are about 5” shorter than my wrists. I’m 5’7”, so maybe my arms are slightly longer than the average bear… but these sleeves are short. The shirt fits less relaxed than expected- more like the perfect shirt, not like the oversized fit on the model in the photo. I really love the soft gold color stripe which is a nice crisp cotton, a little see through but acceptable for layering or a nude bra. For an oversized fit I would have preferred to order one size up. The arms would probably still fit short which I’ve found with most J.Crew button downs with a more relaxed cut. I purchased the shirt on final sale so I’ll either be rolling the sleeves or reselling.

Like the shirt the but after washing and hoping it would shrink..that didn’t work I think relaxed fit means huge I gave the XS to my daughter (she’s a medium)and reordered the xxs and it at least don’t make me look like I’m drowning I in it and am happy I had all ordered the French blue and white same shirt when you hit on but in the description it was regular fit

I saw this online and immediately had to have it. I didn't realize how oversized it was going to be. It's fine but I wouldn't order it again. If I had a local JCrew store I would return it but I didn't hate it enough to pay an additional $9 to ship it back.

I love an oversized button down shirt, so if that's not your thing, you prob won't dig this. But I'm 5'4" and about 120 these days. 34AA bust, 15.5 shoulder--I usually wear a 2 at J.Crew if I want a shirt to fit-fit, but I ordered a 6 in this because I wanted it to be oversized. It is, but not obnoxiously so. The sleeve length is almost perfect--just a bit past my wrists (I roll mine in the summer, so it doesn't really matter), and it comes down past my bum. It dips in a touch at the waist and looks great. Very casual and relaxed with a pair of straight leg jeans or denim shorts. Also looks fab with chinos. Perfect length to front tuck or total tuck or leave out. The fabric is nicer than expected. Not as heavy as some designer shirts I have, but I like that for this time of year. Not too wrinkle-prone, either. It's nicer than I expected, and I will prob buy a few more of this relaxed style. Very pleased! Oversized in a chic, modern way.

I have another similar JCrew shirt in navy and white stripes. Love it. Tucks nicely into my jeans if I want to wear it that way. I liked this gold color so went ahead and ordered it online. My regular size. In any case, i failed to realize it was a "relaxed fit" and relaxed it was. It was huge. Just overall looked terrible on me. Didn't want a tunic. I should have read the description before purchasing this. So I will look for "classic" fit in the future for me. But love JCrew!
