26 customer reviewsWhat customers are saying:
Customers love the blouse’s feminine details, pretty colors, and easy-to-wear look, and many say it works well for both casual outfits and work. The fabric is very lightweight and drapey, which a lot of customers liked, though several suggested wearing a camisole underneath since it can be sheer. A few customers also mentioned that it runs roomy with a relaxed fit, so sizing down may help if you want a less generous shape. Overall, it comes across as a cute, comfortable popover with lots of styling potential.

Fits small
Wish slightly gathered at back/ comfy year round
August 23, 2018Like it - but the button holes are larger than the buttons on the one I received and the top keeps unopening embarrassingly - I am going to sew them to make the button holes a bit smaller- also I have large breasts and I wish the back of this shirt was more fitted/smocked - because I have to order a larger size to accommodate my breasts and then the back of the shirt is so roomy that it makes me look HUGE all, the way around my body - a tie back/smock or elastic “cinch” in the back for a slightly gathered effect at the back would’ve been nice - I do love the casual comfort but smart prints and quality fabrics you’ve chosen though - also lightweight and comfy year round. 5 stars if button holes were tighter and if it was gathered slightly at the back (or empire waisted under the bosom) - to give some figure definition.

Love this shirt, but sleeves are too short!
August 17, 2018This is a really great shirt. I bought it in the green, size 0. It's lightweight, comfortable, and the green is a beautiful darker green. It's not see-through. If I wear a nude bra, I don't have to wear a cami underneath. So I can see it being worn in fall, winter, and spring with layers, if needed. Because of these factors, I bought it. However, the sleeves are too short on me. I don't like having my sleeves ride up, and I will probably always wear the sleeves cuffed. I have this problem with every J. Crew popover shirt. The size 0 will fit great in the torso (maybe a little too short), but the sleeves are always TOO SHORT. I'm a tall lady (5'11"), with a small ribcage and waist; an average/slightly longer torso; and long arms. J. Crew, please make your popover shirts in size 0T!! As a matter of fact, please extend your tall size range to include 0T in general, including coats, etc!!

Not Impressed
July 25, 2018This top was just "okay" for me. It ran large, so definitely size down. I felt as though I was wearing a shapeless bag. Also, the pictures of the model suggest that the collar is able to sit separated on neck, however, the only way to achieve this look is to iron the sides of the neck down, and I'm not even sure that would work as the fabric is sort of pleated around the neck area. I don't like when shirts aren't able to sit open where the buttons are. (Hopefully that makes sense.) The fabric was too thin. Overall, I just don't think the quality is worth it. Will be returning this item.
