This cropped denim popover gets a lot of love for its soft feel, cute style, and easy versatility — customers say it pairs well with jeans, skirts, shorts, leggings, and even layers nicely on cooler days. Fit-wise, many customers note that it runs quite cropped, so ordering up can help if you want a little more length or a less boxy look. A few customers found the sleeves a bit long, but overall the shirt is described as comfortable and flattering in a casual, throw-on style. The indigo wash and denim look also seem to make it a favorite for an easy, vintage-inspired outfit.

Thank goodness for short torsos!
March 11, 2016Definitely not crop on me but it works just as well. I'm quite pleased with this purchase. I am blessed in the bosom area and this top hits just above where my pants sit.

Great shirt!
February 6, 2016I bought this in the size 4, based on the reviews and I love it. I'm 5'5", 34b and 125lbs and it fit gruesome to size. It is not cropped, but falls just below hip. I did have to roll the sleeve once to get a better fit on the arms, but it's really soft and will be perfect this spring and summer. I also bought it in the white version and I love it. Great buy!

j.crew's version of a mechanics shirt
January 14, 2016I read the other reviews before purchasing this shirt. Based on others, I ordered 2 sizes larger (typically wear 8T in jcrew shirts, bought a 12). I knew that the shirt would be cropped, which I liked, but didn't want it to be too cropped. the 12 fits great, the cropped length is what i wanted (hits just below waist line...however, not as low/long as pictured). the cut is boxy, as expected. The material is super soft. Overall, I like this shirt and see it being very versatile. However, it's not spectacular. it's just okay. Kind of reminds me of a mechanics shirt. I should attach a name patch to complete my look. I recommend ordering up a size or two if you are trying to achieve the look modeled by jcrew.
