Perfect basic black silk cami
September 11, 2023Wardrobe powerhouse - I get so much use out of these basic silk camis. The silk is pretty good quality at a very reasonable price when "on sale". High quality construction, holds up to repeated machine washing (in mesh bag) and line drying. Drapes nicely. This top is cute on its own with wide trousers, or as a traditional cami under silk button-up blouses. Especially great for anyone who can get away with not wearing a bra. Like other reviewers, I wish it were just a bit longer, but the boxy cut works well with high waisted wide trousers. I also wish it came in a scoop neck, in addition to the current v-neck design.

The Shirt is Why I Hate to Love J Crew
August 31, 2023I waited FOREVER for this top to go on sale; by how long it took, I figured it must be really something special. Finally got my chance, and boy am I ... underwhelmed. Positives: flatteringly beautiful color and I actually love the neckline, which some reviewers didn't care for. To me it says sophisticated sexy in a minimal, designer-y way. It is also bias cut, so it hangs pretty well. Negatives: the material. The photos portray a luxurious, satiny, lofty drapey silk. In reality it is just way thin. I'm afraid to wash it, it is so delicate. Also I agree with the other viewers that say it is a bit short--even on me and I have a very short waist. Verdict: Sadly, it's not worth the money, even on sale. It's more of an undershirt. Too skimpy and flimsy for work. But the color is gorge so I'm keeping for date night, under a blazer.

Beautiful ivory color
June 29, 2023I love the neckline of this cami. The silk feels wonderful on the skin. The ivory color is a warm neutral that would compliment any wardrobe. The torso flares out a little too much which is why I took off 1 star. This design does not allow for a clean tuck into to the waist of pants or skirts. I am otherwise please especially since it was on sale.
