Pull-on cotton voile midi skirt

I bought the skirt in the dark seaweed color in an XS. Seems tru to size, I’m 115 lbs, normally a 24-25/0 in J Crew jeans and pants. I loved the color and the cotton is lightweight. I appreciate that the skirt is also lined with cotton. However, I’m not loving all these elastic waist bottoms J Crew has been making. I know it’s more comfortable but there was just something about the way the skirt fell that felt a bit frumpy. I tried it with various tops and just didn’t like where the skirt sat on my body and the way the material kind of poufed out. I have a pretty classic hourglass figure and normally love this kind of skirt. Sadly, the combo of the elastic waistband and this cotton didn’t work for me and I had to return it. But if it works on your body type, material is lovely!

Got the green with the matching top. Absolutely love them together and the skirt on its own is awesome too. If you have a small waist and larger hips/thighs this skirt is wonderful. Perfect extra midi length on me, I'm 5'1" and got xxs. Super breezy and versatile. Will order the black one as well, without the top this time.

This skirt is really beautiful. I ordered the green, which is a gorgeous shade of green. I’m petite, so it’s much longer on me than on the model whom I’m sure is close to 6ft tall. Still, the length is workable for my 5ft frame and won’t require alterations. The voile fabric is so soft and flowy. LOVE. I only wish it came in a variety of vivid colors. Looking forward to pairing w/ a basic cotton tee w/ casual summer sandals.

I was on the fence about getting this skirt. I love the lightweight fabric and the green color I purchased, but there does seem to be access material at the waist. I don't have much of a waist so it probably isn't the most flattering on me, but have decided to keep it for now. I like the fact it's easy to throw on and can wear with tshirts, or a button down and tie it at the waist. Even a jean jacket would be cute with it when it cools down. I do wish it were a bit longer, but it's not an awkward length on me. Just preference.
