Beautiful patterned shorts
May 12, 2020I have fallen in love with Liberty patterns and fabrics. They are so beautiful and comfortable and this shorts are all that and more. Love the style and fit for my body type (hourglass), and they are so light; length is perfect-for references, I'm 5'1" and 140 lbs. My regular size is 4 but based on other reviews I went down to a size 2, still a bit loose but not enough for me to go down another size.

Cute Shorts but run large
May 6, 2020I have larger hips so i typically size up in shorts. I read these ran large so i ordered in my normal size but i definitely should have gotten a 14. I'm also 5'4" and they were just a lot of fabric. I think they would be better on a slightly taller person.

High-waisted shorts for the petite crowd!
April 9, 2020Very pleased--I'm a very petite woman, and typically take a 0 in j. crew shorts--these definitely run large, but I have a larger waist to hip ratio (26") in comparison to my hips (35") so I don't want to try 00 because they might be too small in the waist for me. If you're more hourglass shaped, absolutely size down. Unlike most high-waisted shorts, these don't have a ton of excess fabric around the hips, and the belt lays nice and flat so it's not overwhelming. Fabric is gorgeous, and unbelievable comfotable. J.crew, make this style in solid fabrics, too please!

Fits big
A Bit Too Large, but Still Good.
April 2, 2020When my partner bought these shorts on my J.Crew account, she could barely wait for the day they would show up in the mail. After spending two weeks with the shorts, she's only worn them twice, mainly because she says she "doesn't have the right blouse for them". This is valid. They also run a bit large, according to her, but she is also very small, so this is a contributing factor. However, she did use the size-guide, so take that as you will. Regardless, they are very neat shorts, and I'm sure she'll get some more use out of them soon.
