Pleated high-rise short in colorful gingham

Love everything about these shorts except for the very tight waist band. I think I can move a button or something and make them more comfortable.

I purchased both colors along with the matching blazers and they look and feel high quality. I love both. The fit was perfect. The shorts are longer but not dowdy, therefore I will be able wear into the office in lieu of a skirt!! Also, not tight fitting around the thigh area. The shorts and jacket are made of the same heavyweight cotton/viscose fabric (dry clean only) I am 63, 5’ 7”, 166 lbs. I sometimes purchase size 14 & 16 in J Crew pants because of the waist, so I purchased 2 sizes to check the fit..the 14 fit perfect...the 16 looked like I had on a skirt.

I Purchased these shorts a couple weeks ago. When I saw my two favorite colors on one garment I was so excited!! The material is nice and breezy for A warm summer day. Good quality & nice fit. I also have the blazer - can’t wait to wear the whole suit!
