Collection suede mini skirt

This is a beautiful color and material. The style is simple and classic. BUT I do not know why it is so difficult for J.Crew to make a skirt that actually fits at the waist! I have a 25 inch waist, so a 00 should fit (I usually wear a 0 in skirts from other brands) but this falls about an inch below my natural waist. That does not create the flattering a-line silhouette I (and many others) are looking for, it looks awkward unfortunately.
