Runs large, but there is hope
2 weeks agoThere is something about a striped skirt that I love! This one however is just ok, it runs large, so size down. I did buy a larger size, because my size was out. Just found out it was final sale, so I will bring it to the tailor and have it altered. You can wear this with a t-shirt with sneakers and flip flops. Or dress it up a bit with a button down and heels. Please Jcrew bring back the poplin skirts you had in the early 2000's. They all had sewn his slips and came in all great stripes and seersucker. Also the sizing seems to be off.

Great in stripe
June 20, 2026I really like this skirt in the blue stripe. I was not a fan of the khaki though (looked like a cheap, low quality work skirt in my opinion). The stripe is fun and fresh and the lightweight unlined cotton poplin is perfect for any easy summer outfit with a tee and sandals. It is thin (but not at all see through), very lightweight, breathable and comfortable. This is not a structured skirt, so don’t get it if that’s what you want. It is a hang on your hips and let it be type of skirt. I found it to be generously sized but not oversized, perfect for the casual comfort look I want it for. I am 5’9”, 140 lb lean athletic build. I got the size 4 and it has plenty of room to wear on the hips instead of waist. It’s cut fairly straight. I’ve already worn it several times.

Cool summer skirt

Cool and comfortable
May 23, 2026I really like this striped cotton skirt. It is lightweight and unlined but very cool and comfortable. The colors pair well with just about anything I wouldn’t pay full price but getting it on promo is worth it

Size-down-skirt
May 15, 2026Pretty pinstripe to match the lady jacket. I would say size down. I bought what I thought was my usual skirt size, low slung like on the model, however not a good look. When you walk, the long zipper sticks out. I would say unless you wear it at your natural waist, it has an odd look.
