Customers like the emerald tweed look and think it makes for a cute, polished outfit, especially with the matching jacket or a simple top. The skirt has a flattering pencil silhouette, with a longer knee-skimming length that works well for layering and tucking in shirts. Fit seems a little mixed, so customers may want to check measurements since some found it runs a bit large while others felt it was slightly narrower through the hips. A few customers felt the fabric is lighter and less substantial than earlier J.Crew tweeds, so shoppers who want a richer, thicker feel may want to keep that in mind.

Need for Tweed
January 22, 2021This is the second tweed skirt I have purchased from J Crew. I like that it is form fitting while the material is thick, allowing you to tuck in your shirt without showing through the skirt. This skirt is a little longer than the one I have, it is longer than a standard pencil skirt and falls below the knee. While longer than I expected, the fit is flattering. I am curvy, 5’5 and 140#s, for reference.

Its ok
December 12, 2020I'm a big fan of old J Crew. The quality and style are just not there anymore. This skirt is the perfect example. I have more No. 2 pencil skirts in my closet than anyone should. Purchased this with the matching lady jacket as a fun holiday outfit. Its fine, but the fabric is flimsy and rather cheap feeling. I'll wear it for the holidays, loving the sparkle but this will not have the wear and staying power that my wool pencils from years ago have. Over all its a big meh. Please bring back the colors and panache of Jenna's J Crew!
