Ruffle-back pencil skirt in bi-stretch cotton

I love this skirt so much! I purchased it based on the other ladies reviews! And boy, do I love the reviewers! It’s so gorgeous! I wish it was available in my size, but no worries- thanks to my wider hips- I fit into size 10 with some room and still look amazing! For reference, I’m 5.4, 140 pounds and I normally wear size 8 in JC. By the way, I love JC!!! Quality of your guys clothes is Superb!!! Thanks for always being so Amazing, when it comes to your Design and Execution of simple clothes that turn extraordinary once you put them on!!! You guys are my go to for business clothing and casual clothing! And thanks to the reviewers- always pointing out what runs true to size and what runs too small! The recommendations that you ladies give are spot on!!!

The ruffle back makes this pencil skirt comfortable to wear because it does not constrain one when sitting and walking. Though I am under 5'6" tall, I bought the "tall" size even though the regular length also provided enough knee coverage for my aging knees - I like the old-fashioned elegance the extra length gives. I took one size smaller than usual as this skirt seems to run slightly wide through the waist. The give of the stretch fabric allowed me to go to the smaller size even though I have an ample backside. I love this skirt and only wish I could have one in black as well as the navy color. Please bring this skirt back next year in black, J. Crew. I also wish I had tuned into this in time to purchase a jacket in the fabric before my size sold out. Bottom line: great skirt!

This is the best-fitting J. Crew pencil skirt I own - It’s as if I had it custom tailored! ( for reference, I have a 24-25” waist, narrow hips and ordered a 00). Very figure flattering. The waist is TTS, so stays up where it should to accentuate the smallest part of my waist, without being tight. The functional pockets are a good generous size without adding any bulk. Ordered both navy and ivory and the fabric is a nice weight, so no transparency or panty lines with the ivory. The fabric is stretchy, soft and extremely comfortable, but has the appearance of being structured and refined. Love the subtle back kick ruffle! This skirt will work as well with a t-shirt, for a casual look, as it will with a silk button-up shirt and blazer for work.

It is great to be in style and not in debt. I not only purchased this chic skirt but also the matching well fitted jacket, my summer "go to meeting" or go anywhere new suit!

This skirt is a dream. Great quality, lined and very nice details. I intend to wear it well into the fall and winter with a white Tee, an ivory cashmere cardi and soft suede shoes or booties. Very classy look. Only draw back is that it is white and has to be dry cleaned, but other than that I wouldn't change a thing. Very happy with this purchase.

I think this is a lovely skirt that runs true to size. While there are slight cut variations across J. Crew skirt styles, I am almost always a size 6, once in a while a 4. I bought this in a 6, and it fits perfectly. Also, while I agree with the other reviewer that this is cut a bit sexier than most J. Crew skirts, I would not say it is Kardashian level sexy!
