Classic blazer
October 7, 2021Honestly, for the sale price, this blazer is a steal. I can see why some would say the fabric looks/feels cheap, but I liked the look/feel. It’s light weight but has enough weight to it to feel structured. I’m a 2 in most slim fitting j crew button downs and went with the 2 here and it fits perfect everywhere except needs the sleeves shortened. But I have short arms so that’s expected. My blazer was also packaged very well, came on a hanger and there was some stuffing to keep the shoulders in place. Happy with my purchase!!

Feels Cheap
July 14, 2021I had high hopes for this based on the reviews and purchased both the navy and black, but the material feels cheesy, like rayon. I don't think they look like what they cost if that makes sense.

Runs large
May 28, 2021I have to have the blazer altered smaller to fit my frame. Never had this issue in other styles of blazers from Jcrew that I already own.

Not for Hourglass or Pear Shaped Bodies
January 12, 2021I received this blazer as a gift for Christmas. Really disappointed. The fabric feels thinner and cheaper than other blazers I’ve purchased from J.Crew. It also fits my shape weirdly. I am 5’5 and more of a hourglass/pear-shaped body. I was hoping that the jacket would elongate my torso and be a nice oversize fit, instead it is tight around my upper arms and the second button hits right at or a little below my belly button, which looks odd when buttoned. I thought of purchasing the blazer one size larger, which would have been an 8, but I think it’s just too long for my height and shape

Not really a true boyfriend cut(?)
January 3, 2021This blazer is really lovely, overall. Quality is good, and the shape is nice. I wish it was made in Petite, though, as that probably would have solved the issue. Whoever JCrew's fit model is for this blazer has extremely thin arms. I am 5'3" 110 lbs, and the arms were uncomfortably snug. I am small boned and while I"m not particularly muscular, the arm portion is really tight with a shirt underneath. The rest of the body was a nice fit, so this was a disappointing purchase. A boyfriend cut is a relaxed fit - like you've taken your bf's blazer and had it tailored a bit to fit you. But this is not very relaxed in the upper arms at all, with minimal layering options, unless you buy a size or two up....Or unless you have very thin arms.

Great for work or with jeans
December 28, 2020I ordered my normal size in j crew blazers a 10 but I could have gotten a 8. It’s very comfortable with a relaxed fit. I plan to wear for work and also on casual days with jeans or midi skirts.
