Double-breasted blazer in lightweight wool

I purchased the plaid pants in this same color way and thought if the plaid pants can hang in my closet so can the jacket. I agree with the other reviewers that it looks best buttoned, and that it runs true to size. However because it pairs well with dark denim pants and leggings, (for a little more sophisticated and updated look for those pants in my closet) is the main reason that I bought this jacket. I am 5’9” and a size 8 tall. It fit well and the fabric weight is perfect. Wore with jeans, white blouse and knee high boots. A real staple!

This was exactly what I’ve been looking for. The wool is the perfect weight as I don’t like thick blazers. The color and print are classic and rich. It is boxy. It does look better buttoned up. I think it’s fabulous! I got in an 8 because I’ve gained a great deal of weight. I may also buy one in my usual size 4 for when I lose the weight. It’s that good.

I just received this. It's a nice blazer--the brown plaid looks exactly as it did online--a nice dark brown. It arrived in good shape on a hanger. It fits perfectly in the sleeves and shoulders, but it is definitely cut wider in the waist. It's the rare JC blazer that looks infinitely better buttoned up than left open. I will keep it because I have been after a dark brown plaid blazer for some time, but I am a little disappointed in the lack of details for the price. There is no inner pocket, for instance. The collar is lined in red flannel, which I'm not super fond of, but since I won't be wearing the collar up, I can live with it. I'm sure some buyers will dig it. There is some pink piping inside, but I am genuinely surprised by the lack of an inner pocket--I like those! All in all, I would recommend this piece but be aware that it is cut generously through the body while being TTS in the sleeves and shoulders. Measurements are 5'4", 120, 34AA, 15.5 inch shoulder, 26 waist, 34 hip.
