Boiled wool zip sweater

I purchased this in the store after seeing it styled in the catalog and I've worn it numerous times in numerous ways. I am 5' 6", 135 lbs, 32C, I am almost always a small with the exception of some of the oversized sweaters this season that I have purchased an x-small. I purchased this in a medium in the cream color, it hits about an inch below my high rise jeans which I believe have about a 9.5" rise. The sleeves are a little short, which I believe is intentional, and hit me right below my wrist bone. I've worn in over collared shirts, over shift dresses with the zips unzipped all the way, and alone with the zips zipped 3/4 of the way. It's a beautiful boiled wool sweater that is structured and warm, as an FYI traditionally this material will feel more dense and shrunk because of its treatments. I really believe if you get the right size you will absolutely adore this sweater!

I had to come back to this sweater to do a double take on the description.. I find this sweater to be a relaxed fit, however it runs VERY short. Like shrunk. I absolutely have to wear an under layer with this sweater...or my belly button would be showing for sure. I don't understand what happened to this one.

I'm not sure what is going on with JCREW's sizing, with xxxs and 000, but for JCREW, this sweater runs really small. Normally I would be xs or small, small being roomy, and this sweater in small looked like I was wearing a little girl's sweater. Shrunken all around and the sleeves not long enough? If the fit were better it would be a cute sweater made with substantial wool, but I'm not sure if even trying other sizes would get the fit right.

I LOVE this sweater. I got it in the lavender color which is so pretty and has flecks of pink in it. I love the swingy shape that you can adjust by zipping or unzipping the sides. It's great for work and weekends. I am tall with long arms and am not always a fan of bracelet length sleeves but it totally works on this sweater. LOVE LOVE LOVE. Will order in another color. It fits true to size.

I love this sweater. It's so cute with the side zippers, and is such a beautiful feminine colour (I ordered the lilac one). Boiled wool is such a lovely old-school material - so cozy and warm. I wish I was wearing mine right now! In fact, I'm going to go put it on...

I almost didn't order this sweater because of the negative reviews but I'm so happy I ordered this. The texture and color is gorgeous. The sweater is more winter white than ivory. Now to the fit... I ordered the medium. I normally wear mediums or 6/8 in tops. The arms are bracelet sleeve and fitting. I don't think the sweater runs small...I think this is the style of the sweater. With that said even though the sleeves are fitting they are very comfortable. I had no problems layering. I preferred the sweater layered over a print like the polka dot popover. Since I'm not a really slim gal the sweater didn't look right being unzipped like the model but it was okay if I unzipped just a little for a peek a boo. Sizing up for this sweater would make it look sloppy. Order this sweater in your normal size.
