Cashmere diamond-check crewneck

I ordered a small (one size larger than I typically wear in J Crew sweaters) based on the description of this sweater being "fitted" and the other reviews noting that it is cropped. Unfortunately, the fit was just not right for me, and oddly, I really can't categorize it as too big or too small, just a strange fit overall. I'm 5'2", and the sweater hits right at the top of my hips, which I don't mind. The sweater looks fitted everywhere except the sleeves, which look cartoonishly oversized on me. The cashmere is so soft and I love the colors and diamond pattern, but the fit is absolutely not for me.

I have been stalking this seater for months and was so excited when it popped up in the size above mine which is what I wanted based on the reviews. The fabric is very soft and a nice weight. The sleeves are great and I want something else made with those sleeves!! It was really short (and I am only 5-5) and the pattern looked very odd on me. The pattern ended right at the bottom of the chest but then the brown was wide and short. The worst though was that it reeked of perfume and had been very obviously worn multiple times. I can’t believe at that price point, they would send that back out and accept that return. It was so gross, I don’t want to sit in someone else’s sweat and perfume.

Like almost everything these days, this sweater is completely cropped! Such a shame bc the pattern is beautiful and it’s super soft but it seriously shows my stomach and I bought a large! Stop with the cropped sweaters and tops, everyone!!

I love this retro look sweater. I did size up to a medium, but could have gone with a small. With the higher waist and more fitted bottom, I liked the look better. Well made and so fun. Super soft.

Loved the look of this sweater online so much that I paid full price. No promos ever seem to apply. Just received it and it’s totally worth it. Super soft and such a cool style. I have nothing like it. Fits true to size and looks incredible on.
