Bike swim short in orange floral

I bought these bike swim shorts a couple colors in size M when they first came out. Finally, a long in length swimsuit bottom design! However they have a very uncomfortable seam running down the center, that digs in horribly. The legs also slowly start riding up as you walk adding to the issue. I tried a size L also to see if that helped, but the waist was too big... and it did not nothing to alleviate the bad feeling of the center seam . If they were lined I believe that may have helped. They are made of super thin fabric to start with so to me, a lining should have been mandatory. The light blue showed through so I exchanged it for the print which appeared less sheer, but it fitted and felt the same. Most bike shorts are made of a one piece fabric with seams only on the sides of the legs. If these were sewn this way, it would have helped; also, if they were constructed the same as a bikini bottom, lined and with no vertical center seam, I would buy them in every color. One of my purchases was final sale, so I resorted to wearing a bikini swim bottom underneath to stop the uncomfortable feeling.

I wasn't sold on the color story in this suit, but I want a cute-yet-sporty shorts set for beach activities so I tried it anyway. Unfortunately I liked the colors less in person, and what's more, the shorts are unlined. I tried them on with underwear and could see the underwear so clearly through them (especially the peach spots) that I would never wear them without. I can only imagine how sheer they are when wet! Otherwise they were exactly what I wanted, though - I'd love these lined & in richer colors.
