Side-tie beach dress in dot

This is nice for a beach dress. Not really for outdoor wear for me. Maybe with a tank/cami underneath- have to try that.. As other review stated - I worked with it on a hanger with the ties and found it to work for me . Very cute, very light and long.

After reading all the reviews, I took a chance and ordered this cover up 2 sizes down. I was very pleasantly surprised with it - until I realized 3 of the 4 drawstrings at the waist are sewn in, so I cannot cinch them as needed to have the dress fit properly. I'll try to fix it on my own since it was such a bargain, but would caution others to the potential issue.

I wanted to love this and had hopes even though I read the reviews that I could make this work. The fabric itself is beautiful, great print, light-weight but not see through cotten. For that I gave the quality 4 stars. HOWEVER, as many stated, the shape of this garment is way off. I did size down 2 sizes and ordered the XS. I don't think sizing down any further would have helped due to the overall shape. The top with deep v in front and back is perfect. The first set of ties allow you to fit the shape to your body very well (although you have to do it while its on your body, otherwise you can't get it over your head). Its the 2nd set of ties and the way the skirt is cut that is the problem. Its really hard to explain. I regret purchasing this and cannot return as it was a final sale. I am 5 2, usually a M, or size 10 in J Crew.

I think this is a very misunderstood piece. I’m happy with it! My recommendation: -Buy now (one size down!) because it’s heavily discounted! -When you get it home, hang on a grippy hanger. Tie the top ties right at the top where they meet the dress fabric (either do not pull in, or do just a bit and then smooth out to evenly distribute the cinching). -Then cinch the bottom ties in about ~80%—this will close the gape and create a bit of a keyhole effect, as well as adjusts the drape. -Without untying ties, drop the dress over a swimsuit or cute bandeau bra and go have fun. I did throw a stitch under each of the shoulders to draw the straps in a bit and tweak the fit, but overall this dress worked for me!

I’m not sure what’s going on here. Similar to other reviews, this is super huge (I bought a size smaller and I think I could’ve gone down two more sizes) and I’m not even sure how to cinch the ties. I wish they would’ve changed the sizes according to the actual fit.

I am age 52, 135# 5'4" and this dress is indeed enormous! I sized down from S to XXS and it was still big, so I washed and dried it on high heat, and it now fits very nice. It's semi sheer and not a dress for anywhere but a pool or resort and that's where I wore it! It flows so nice in the breeze and the cotton was very comfortable. The side ties were fine but again I wore it over a swimsuit.
