Whew! No gaping armholes here.
February 1, 2023I didn't read all the reviews until after ordering this on final sale and was a very concerned that I would experience the gaping armholes and be stuck with a top I can't wear. But, I just received it this afternoon and after easily pulling it over my head, it fits great. The armholes were just where i like them, and I found the fit to be very flattering, classy and classic. I'm usually somewhere in the Small or Medium range (depending on the style and fit), and tend to like my tops a bit less clingy/body-con, so it's not uncommon for me to order up a size or even two. This Small fits just right. For reference, I'm 5'3, and bounce between 115-119 lbs and between a B and C cup.

Crooked T neck
January 30, 2023The material is great, I really like the color and I had no issues with the size of the neck or gaps under the armholes like some reviewers. The problem with mine is that the whole thing is sewn crooked. In hindsight, one can almost see this in the photo-one arm appears larger than the other, it's because it is so poorly constructed. Also, the cutaway is too generous and any bra will show in the front. (36B for reference, size Medium).

Not for busty women
November 27, 2022This would be a great shirt if you're not busty. I'm a 32DD. I bought this shirt in an XS, though usually I'm an XXS. The arm holes don't sit properly around my chest. I've never wanted to return anything from JCrew before this.

Tissue Turtleneck
November 3, 2022The reviews were right re: the very small neck pulling it on. It feels like the stitching is going to pull apart. I even went with medium hoping to avoid that. And the fit is really off in the way it bunches at the armholes- would definitely look awkward if worn alone. I bought a couple on sale to wear under a sweater, so I guess it'll be ok wearing it that way. Sad to say, I can't recommend.

Nearly perfect but…
October 29, 2022Got the moss color in small, and the color was beautiful. As others noted, the neck is narrow. The fine gauge jersey fabric is stretchy so it was fine putting on. The part I didn’t care for was how the sleeves cut in the front too much — struggled with my straps showing all day and awkward angles. Ended up covering with a cardigan. Otherwise… perfect!
