The Perfect Layering Piece for my Capsule Wardrobe
May 6, 2026This tank top is a great layering piece. I took a chance ordering this online without trying it on first as it is very hard for me to find form-fitting tank tops that are not too big around the arms. This one worked for me. I love the color (ivory), the material (rayon), and the fit. I'm 5' 3 1/2" and short-waisted, 165 lbs. and I bought it in the X-large, which is my normal J. Crew size, and therefore, the length is great on me. I plan to wear this mainly with pants and I will add it into my travel capsule wardrobe as it doesn't take up much room. I also like the satin trim around the arms, which is a nice detail.

Have been wearing this non stop
April 12, 2026I bought these to go with J. Crew’s silk pants, and heels, for a friend’s b-day party. For a simple, sleeveless shirt it transformed my outfit and made it look more elegant. I also wear this shirt with casual linen pants and jeans. I am always a M in J. Crew tops, but the L fit much better.
