Lace-up Willa boots in lizard-embossed leather

These are overall a really beautiful shoe. The design is classic and they are well made. They are also a comfortable fit. The only flaw they have is the zipper. This addition takes away from the nice lines and elegance of the shoe's design. The zipper makes the shoe less versatile, which means they are best worn with pants, but not dresses. No matter, zipper and all, I still love them.

I ordered these boots believing they were light pecan, they are more taupe, not to mention the quality of the material is unbelievably poor. As one reviewer mentioned, the material looks and feels more plastic than leather, and does "Not" feel embossed. I am very disappointed, this is not the kind of product I expected from J Crew. I have been a customer with this retailer since it's beginning, and expect nothing but the highest quality products. The zipper is a cheap gold material making the boot even more unappealing and cheap-looking. I'm in the UK presently, it's a hassle to return items so I'm stuck with these boots. J Crew doesn't include return labels in the packages anymore. So ridiculous

This listing does not accurately display the item. They are brown in person (not taupe) and have gold hardware (on a zipper that’s not mentioned at all), which I hate. They also look very plastic-y and as if they were already worn. I cannot wear these because I do not wear gold or brown and they clash with my wardrobe, and they will not accept a return. Waste of money.
