These espadrille sneakers are getting lots of love for their fun leopard look, cute styling, and comfy, lightweight feel that works well with casual outfits. Customers also mention they’re pretty versatile for everyday wear and tend to draw compliments. Fit feedback is mixed, but many found them true to size, while some with wider feet or those wanting extra room suggested sizing up. A few customers noted that the espadrille sole can wear down or come apart faster than expected, so they may be best for lighter, drier wear.

Wild thang...you make my feet sing!
September 23, 2019This is one of the most fun pair of espadrilles ever. I have worn them three times in just a couple of weeks of owning them and receive complements every time I wear them. If J. Crew makes these again, but them, you won't be disappointed. One note on comfort, they are not fully lined so you get the jute against your soles so it is a bit abrasive and there is no arch support.

I loved them until it rained!
September 23, 2019I really loved these shoes and got lots of compliments. I will say the sole of the shoe around the ball of the foot got a little lumpy but I still could wear them. Unfortunately, I only wore a few times. One day a thunderstorm came through the area. Even though I got under cover, I still got a little wet. And then the streets were wet. Since the bottom of the shoe has no rubber (just rubber on the edges) they soaked up the water. They expanded and completely were misshapen and my foot no longer could fit in the shoe even after a week of drying them out. (not to mention they were so uncomfortable the rest of the night). I would not normally wear on a rainy day espadrilles, however, a thunderstorm caught me by surprise. I did not expect these shoes to be completely ruined. If the bottom was a full rubber sole, I believe there would not have been so much damage.

THE Shoe of the Summer
July 30, 2019I bought a similar style last year and was a bit disappointed; they were canvas and had a thin sole. Fast forward to this year and this version is perfect. I like the chunky sole and the calf hair makes it look much more substantial. Super comfortable, almost like sneakers. But so much more prettier than sneakers. I haven't walked long distances in them but did notice some rubbing (I wear them barefoot) on my heels with sweat when I was doing errands. Something to think about if you are walking all day in them. However, I have received tons of compliments and they are my favourite summer shoe. I have wide feet (due to a low arch) and found them to fit comfortably in my regular size, can't say that about many shoes I've owned.
