The ankle strap has no relation with human able
July 30, 2023The part of the strap with the buckle isn't the length of the perimeter of the heel of the shoe. I'm horrible at math and I just used "perimeter" in a shoe review. THIS IS WHAT J CREW MADE ME DO. They were nonreturnable so they went to charity in hopes that someone with inhumanly narrow ankles can wear them.

The ankle strap is built for pixie sticks
July 20, 2023After trying these on, I had to ask myself: "do I have cankles?" I actually asked other people in my house. But then I looked at the buckle end of the strap, and it's not long enough to go around the back of the shoe. This shoe is just poorly designed. I bought it on massive sale--and I paid way too much for a set of beigey paperweights.

July 19, 2023These shoes can be worn spring, summer and into fall. They look cute with ankle socks or without stockings. Very comfortable. And the suede is soft and high quality. J Crew has been my go to for decades.

Glad I Purchased
June 24, 2023I almost didn't purchase these because of the solo review and final sale but they were such a good deal I couldn't pass them up. And I'm glad I bought them! The ankle strap could use some additional notches (and there's room to add them) but they fit my ankle fine and were not at all painful. My ankles aren't particularly small, maybe on the small side of average. The quality is excellent and they're incredibly comfortable and on trend. I will say the run a tiny bit small in the size 11. They still fit fine but I like a little more room on the sole in an ankle strap shoe. Would love this shoe in more colors!
