Swish! Like Wearing a raincoat
June 9, 2021Beautiful print. Beautiful fit. Would def hold its shape and the cut is flattering to almost any shape woman. Sadly it swishes like a plastic bag or plastic raincoat. If you don’t mind making noise while walking or moving then this is a good dress. This material also caused a stiffness in its structure, which again, creates the shape but not very pliable and conducive to wearing. It went back.

April 14, 2021I love the on-trend color of this dress. However, yes, the other reviews are correct. The fabric is thick, shower-curtain-like, and swishy. As in -- makes noise. The fit of the top is a little big, and the elastic waist hits me too high and then the fabric poufs out below the waist because of the thick fabric. If this were made in the same silk of the striped dress that I just sent back because the color was too bright, this would be a great dress (though expensive!). J. Crew, I just can't spend any more money on returns. Sorry.

Lived Up To The Photo!
April 8, 2021This is such a great dress! The fabric is not like a shower curtain, but LOL. It’s really more like taffeta (just not silk) - which has a really specific drape, or lack thereof. The print is really nice. My only complaint is that I think the shoulder elastic will ride up. A little wardrobe tape should fix that. I’m a athletic-curvy 6 normally but will return for a 4.
