True to Size-Size up for Comfort
August 21, 2020Being from Louisiana I know all about seersucker, we invented it! The material is a true seersucker. I've gained weight in the past year so I am a true size 6. After purchasing two size 6 shirts, I bought a size 8 to try. Both sizes fit relatively well. Both sizes start out tighter in the arms but stretch - true to the fabric type. If you struggle with button-down shirts in the chest area, go with the 8. For me, the 8 was just more flowy in the waist area with not much difference the chest area. I'm a 36C.

Summer classic
August 8, 2020I love this shirt and it washed really well. It's very cool and breezy. Only issue is the arm holes are a bit snug but not uncomfortable. I am 5' and 125 pounds so I got a size 4. I wanted to buy the pink in the size 6 but it was sold out.

Love the Seersucker and Fit
August 5, 2020I usually wear size 2/xs tops but sized down to size 0 in this boy shirt. It's another JCrew boy shirt which I usually like but I really fell for the seersucker, navy stripes, plus it fits in the upper body almost like it's tailored to me. I rolled the sleeves so can't remember what to comment but think they hit just short of my wrist bones. Also, it's not pant grade fabric but it's not inadequate either. Great shirt! Be careful if buying on FS since it's cut narrower/higher at underarms. Size 2 was too big overall but was going to keep it in the pink colorway and throw it in the dryer had I not been able to get it in size 0 too. My stats: 5'-7", 32c, slim.

July 30, 2020Looks great on the website, was looking for a cool/different summer top and love seersucker. The cut is boxy and a bit shapeless, the sleeves too long for the body. Disappointed, I returned it. I love J Crew and would love to see it return to the old, stylish, innovative ways.

Not for curvy girls
July 14, 2020I ordered this against my better judgement. I am a size 12, with broad shoulders and find J Crew button ups typically do not flatter my figure. However, I have a few to wear to work mostly underneath blazers. I expected this this to be more of a relax fit as pictured on the model. But it is the typical fit of the boy shirts which is too formal looking for my liking. If you’re thinking of wearing this to work then it will probably be good for you. I was figuring I would wear it more casually and it just felt too structured.
