Love them
September 13, 2021I’ve been looking for a pair of white shorts that aren’t super expensive but still great quality, and these are perfect! As other reviews have mentioned, they’re definitely not boyfriend or slouchy. They are quite high waisted, which I like because they make your waist look slimmer and are flattering. The leg openings are a bit wider than your average shorts but it’s not a bad thing and I prefer it over super tight shorts. That may be where the “boyfriend/slouchy” comes from? I think these are great if you have bigger thighs/hips/butt compared to your waist. Don’t really like them folded but prefer them unfolded with the raw hem. I’m usually a 27 in other brands but 26 in Jcrew and they fit true to size - not too tight and not too loose. The only thing that I’d change is the fringe on the raw them, I like the look of a clean cut with some distressing better. But overall love the fit, material and everything else about them!

Perfect white denim shorts
August 5, 2021These are the perfect white denim short. They are pretty form-fitting without being too tight and they are high-waisted on me - not slouchy at all. Maybe it depends on how you wear them? I love them!

Surprisingly high-waisted, not slouchy
August 5, 2021I’m really sad that I trusted that these shorts were slouchy. They were really high-waisted and not flattering on me. I’m pretty average (5’6”, 140 lbs) and I didn’t like the fit

Awful fit
July 15, 2021I took a chance on these, got them deeply discounted and final sale. The price was right to take a chance, they arrived today and they are awful. I sized up based on reviews. There is absolutely no stretch in the waist , too much fabric in the front zipper area and the leg opening is ridiculously huge. The style looks nothing like the picture and fit on the model. Do not waste your money even given away these are a huge miss. Jcrew your fit issues are growing across styles please find a fit and stick to it so we can shop the way we used to shop your brand

Slouchy is a Misnomer
July 12, 2021These shorts have a very strange fit. The waist is high and tight, and the leg openings are huge. Weird. Should've listened to other reviews about these shorts. Won't be wearing them and unfortunately they were a final sale. In the donation bag they go...

So disappointing!
June 27, 2021I’m always on the lookout for updated and comfortable white denim shorts, and I thought these were it. The frayed hem, the coverage and the high waist looked like something I’d like. Boy, was I WRONG! First, they’re huge. HUGE. I’m typically a 6/8 in bottoms and lean towards the 8 (or 29) in denim, so that’s what I purchased. Big mistake! They’re not just slouchy, I was swimming in them, and they were super long. However, if I rolled them up as shown in the pictures, I risked my cheeks hanging out. The legs openings are quite wide on me, and my thighs are not skinny—no thigh gap going on here, lol! They’re just sloppy, and sadly they’re not returnable. If you feel like taking a chance on these, order at least one size down—but buyer beware! For reference, I’m 5’4” and about 135 lbs. if I get a chance, I’ll add a photo later!
