Cute suit but runs large.
August 16, 2021Bathing suit is a bit too big. I wish I had gotten a size smaller before wearing it. Thought it would be ok, but got bigger when I wore it in the water. Size down.

Perfect fit for petite, short waisted body type
March 20, 2021I tried three high waisted bottoms J.Crew currently has on their site including this one, Rib bikini bottom with high-cut leg, and High-waisted bikini bottom. For my body type and concerns, this style was the best. I am 5" pretty average in size (6), I have hips and am shorter-waisted I also have dips in my hips, so finding a bikini bottom that does not accentuate them is important for me, ie I cannot wear anything too high-cut. This style looked really great, giving me a high waist look that's proportional, without it looking like it's up to my chin! My only issue is with the fabric, I do not think it will hold up very well from traditional bathing suite material, so hopefully J.Crew will create this cut in additional fabrics, like rib and regular swimsuit material. Overall, very happy with this bottom!

Classic pin-up girl style
November 15, 2019I love the style of these bikini bottoms. I absolutely love the retro style, and the material is great! My only complaint is that while size small usually fits me perfectly in J. Crew swim, these bottoms gap at the rear, and have a bit too much material at the curve of my back. I would definitely recommend ordering a size down.

cute bottoms but not so cute exposure
May 13, 2019I couldn't wait to receive this suit in the mail. Paired it up with the Halter Peplum Tankini Top but this suit is going back unfortunately. Love the style of the top but the bottoms are much too revealing for my liking. Leg openings are huge. I ordered an xsmall and will not be exchanging it for the xxsmall due to the cut and fit. Too bad JCrew can't make a bottom to match the halter top for those gals that prefer more coverage.
