Fits true to size
I like it, but....
February 1, 2018...I sized up after reading the reviews, and I was swimming in this thing. I'm a 32D, and should have gone with a 4 (my reg size), or sized down to a 2. If you're wondering how one gets in and out of this top - the back zipper goes almost all the way to the bottom of the shirt, making for easy on and off. IMO the dissonant combo of black velvet on white denim doesn't work. It could be because it sort of hung off of me. To work, I think it has to be fitted, or the sash will make you'll look like you just left some strange beauty pageant.

Chic and classy
January 13, 2018Beautiful, chic, classy top - looks great on its own or layered over a blouse. I typically wear a 0, but I took the other reviewers' advice and sized up to a 2 which was too big. ) is perfect! So I would deviate from the other reviews and say it's true to size. Will be wearing this every season!

Ode to J.Crew
January 12, 2018This top is an example of the edgy style J.Crew once was always known for. It’s unique, interesting blend of fabrics & capable of being worn many ways. The fit is good (I am 5.6, 135 lbs with a short torso) and the stretch in the fabric makes it very comfortable. I plan to dress it up a bit with a black velvet blazer and/or pants as well as transition into spring by wearing black jeans. Hope to see more of cutting edge style!

September 14, 2017I love this item! It is a real wow addition to my wardrobe and I received so many comments the first time I wore it. I paired it with a pencil skirt (no shirt underneath as per the online photo). I felt very glamorous and slim.

Unique Piece
September 2, 2017If you are looking for a unique piece for your fall wardrobe, this is that item. I bought the top and pants on the model and it is a very cool look. You can wear it now or with a shirt when the weather turns cooler. I am wearing my pants rolled with orange/red suede pumps I bought from J. Crew. I normally wear a size 2 in shirts at J. Crew but I went with a size 4. Fits perfect. I am 5"6, 122 pounds and small busted. Size up one size and you will love this velvet, natural denim top!
