Love that this sweatshirt is the old-school excellent quality that J Crew once offered. Rich in color & a great thicker cozy weight that will last for years...I imagined it would be even better as it gets worn in over time. However, the disappointment is the sizing. I'm a 5'7", 155-lb woman who regularly buys sweats & tees (loungewear) in the J Crew men's section for a more "boyfriend" relaxed fit. I was especially excited about wearing this in ski season. Size medium should've been easy for me to get into/wear. Sadly, it might as well be a straightjacket. I could barely get it on & getting it off required so much effort that I worried about dislocating a shoulder. I feel like it runs about 2 sizes too small if you account for expected shrinkage in the wash. I love this sweatshirt, but can't wear it & am pretty bummed since I purchased it "final sale" & larger sizes weren't available by the time I discovered the issue.

I normally wear a women's medium, 5'7" & 155lbs (36A/B). I purchased what I believed to be a men's medium for an oversized fit. I washed it once & dried it in the dryer for about 25 mins on low heat until it was just damp, & then rack dried it the rest of the way. It was already smaller than what I expected before I laundered it, but afterwards it was EXTREMELY small! I had difficulty getting it on, & once I did it felt fitted & constrictive. This is extremely disappointing because the quality of it is reminiscent of the awesome sweatpants J Crew sold about 15 years ago...thick & sturdy ivy league quality...& the color of green is rich. However, the Medium feels more like a men's extra-small. I recommend ordering 1 to 2 sizes larger than your normal size.

The quality is amazing, really well made. I usually wear a medium in J Crew tops, and this fits just right. A little fitted, not too loose. Huge fan of the Mt Snow collaboration they did as well!

Excellent quality embroidered sweatshirt. Good weight/thickness. Got this on sale with addt’l 75% off so it feels like I stole it. Fit true to size. Will continue to buy J.Crew as their apparel has consistent quality!
