Girls' mix-and-match dress

I love this dress on my daughter. I really like that the skirt is cotton this year instead of polyester. I am not a huge fan of polyester. We have the dress from last year and I like this one better. It looks so nice on her. The fit is great. I wish it came in other colors.

It makes perfect Christmas dress and my daughter loves it.

Her eye lit up when she opened the gift. She wanted to wear it immediately. Her being my nine year old niece, she got her way and presto, she couldn’t stop smiling. She is a rambunctious one and played on the playground for a while and then like any other kid while eating lunch, managed to spill sauce on the dress. However, after placing it through the washing machine it was good as new. It did shrink to her body frame but not tightly. I purchased a size 14 and it went down to a size 12 after placing it through the wash and dryer. Now she’s not floating in it. I suggest you size up one and then wash/dry it through the machine to get it to your little ones frame.

I bought this dress last year for both of my daughters in a 2 and 3. I was so excited to see they had the dress again for purchase! Meaning, I only had to buy one bc the 2 year old can now wear the size 3. Except, it is not the same dress!!!! The skirt is cotton plaid instead of a taffeta/polyester fabric, which is what made the dress so cute! The juxtaposition of materials enhanced the overall look. I suspect after a washing or two the cotton skirt will continually stick to the liner, which will also stick to their tights. Not well thought out. Overall, I noticed this year J.Crew/crewcuts is beginning to cheap out on their products. No longer the same fabric quality and the pricing does not reflect this change. Not to mention, they used the exact same model picture from last year. Very deceiving and disappointing!!!!

Loved this little dress for outdoor family Christmas pics. My daughter is tall and thin, so I ordered a 10 and a 12. We ended up going with the 10 because the 12 was too big on top. Length still worked on the 10. Adorable, especially with the necklace featured online.
