The greatest thing about rash guards is the extra UV protection they provide. This summer we went to to Cape Cod a few times, the Delaware shore a bunch while visiting family, as well as swimming in some small New England lakes and rivers. My daughter has always been comfortable swimming and playing in the sand, and the sun protection means we can have fun outside a bit longer.

Love this suit. Beautiful print and well made but runs small like all jcrew swim -women and girls. it is short in the torso for the height indicated on the size chart (up to 53in). wish crew cuts swim came in size 16 like the clothes since for younger kids that are a little bigger for their size and don't want to put a pre-teen in an adult swimsuit.
