Girls' cherry Fair Isle crewneck sweater

I love the look of this child's sweater and almost bought it for my granddaughters. However, I then noticed that it said to "spot clean" it. Who ever spot cleans a child's sweater? Children get dirty and have accidents, so to spend money on a sweater that cannot be washed or dry cleaned is a waste of money. I hope this instruction is a typo, but if not, what were you thinking?
