Ludlow Slim-fit suit jacket in English cotton-wool blend

Great tweed jacket. Perfect for spring. Dress it up with slacks or tone it down with denim. Love it.

A classic, refined: in terms of the cut, as well as the fabric weight. Invokes compliments from many, without fail.

Luxurious feel but lacks lining. This suit fits as if it was custom. The 3 roll 2 button functionality is very bond and very European! The lapels are designed to accommodate wearing the top 2 buttons closed or just the middle button. The only downside is that it is not lined. The jacket fits like a glove if that is your fancy.

This is a good quality suit which fit true to size. I would have given it 5 stars, but the jacket is not lined. It is warm though, so in cool or even cold weather, this is the suit jacket to wear. The herringbone pattern is a nice touch and will likely make you stand out amongst the crowd.

I'm trying really hard to love this suit, but there are some glaring things that made me not be able to get it 5 stars First, didn't realize it was a 3-button, but that one is on me for not checking more thoroughly, just something to be aware of Color - The pictures on the website misrepresent the actual color. The real color is noticeably darker and does not have the "lighter brown" character to it shown in the pictures, which is what I was really looking forward to and why I made the purchase in the first place. Real color is not bad, it's pleasant, just not the same as what's pictured Sizing - I wear a 42R in nearly every single suit I've ever worn, including 2 other Ludlow jackets which are slim, but they fit without issue at all. I took a chance on ordering a 44R in this one knowing that I would ideally like a tiny bit of extra room - thankfully I did, because it feels smaller than the other 42R's I've purchased in the same cut. Had I ordered a 42R, I don't think I could've even gotten one arm in it Price - I would never pay full price for this suit and would struggle recommending it to someone else at that price. The full price listed for this complete suit seems unreasonable Overall, I really want to love this suit and I plan on keeping it to avoid the return process and I really want the herringbone pattern, but JCrew needs to put some serious work into sizing consistency, color representations on the website, and proper shipping & packing methods. If you can get this at a steep discount and you want herringbone pattern specifically, go for it and size up. At full or almost full price, I'd suggest looking elsewhere

This suit is so fly. The texture, fit, color. I love it. I’ve already received many compliments on the blazer and look forward to wear the full suit.
